This policy explains how personal data is processed on this website and in the DCB – Discount Code Blocker Shopify app, in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Data processed on this website

• Server log data (IP address, date/time, page requested, browser) processed by our hosting provider to deliver and secure the site. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are deleted after a short period.
• Cookie consent choice, stored in your browser's local storage. Legal basis: legal obligation and legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(c) and (f)).
• Analytics or marketing cookies only if you give consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer.
• Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts (Google Ireland Ltd.), which receives your IP address. Legal basis: legitimate interest in consistent presentation.
• Emails you send us are used only to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f)).

3. Data processed in the Shopify app

When a merchant installs DCB, we process store data needed to provide the service (shop domain, store owner contact, product and discount settings). Merchants are the controller of their customers' data; we act as processor. We comply with Shopify's mandatory GDPR webhooks (customer data request, customer redact, shop redact) and delete shop data after uninstall.

4. Recipients and transfers

Our hosting provider and Shopify Inc. may process data. Where data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, this is based on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. Retention

We keep data only as long as necessary for the purpose or as required by law.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, objection, and to withdraw consent (Art. 15–21 GDPR). You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
